I
remember those slumbooks we had in grade school where we list our likes and
dislikes and dreams and most embarrassing moment. If I had one now I would
have written this moment on the latter.
I
had no cash back then but I was craving, as usual, for ravioli. I am weak. I
gave in. Carrying my credit card I went to Bistro Ravioli in Mall of Asia with
Piggy. We dine and talk (our convo revolved in the fact that I am an impulse
buyer and glutton). After eating, we asked for the bill and I proudly place my
credit card. The waitress politely declined my payment saying they’re machine
is offline. “How about debit card?” She said they don’t accept any cards as of
the moment and it was apparently posted at the glass door. In my defense the
sign was very small. Anyway, as an adult I did the only thing legal to do, I
washed their dishes. I’m just kidding! I went out and withdraw from the ATM. It
was so embarrassing. Imagine if there’s no one with me?
So
here are the five things you should remember before entering a fancy
restaurant:
1. Check if you have money (card or
cash)
2. If you’ll
use the former, be sure that they accept card
3. Ask
yourself if the price (if pricey) is worth it
4. Ask
yourself if there are other more practical alternative
5. When in
doubt, bring a companion (and when all else fails, leave him/her to pay. JUST
KIDDING don’t do that)

Now let me
rate Bistro Ravioli
THE PLACE
Compared to
Glorietta branch, this branch is fancier. Maybe because it’s enclosed and had
artsy frames that, some, doesn’t have anything on it. Art is weird.

THE SERVICE
The servers
were polite (even during the embarrassing moment. Huhu). Since it’s a resto, I
expected our order to take time but it’s fairly fast.

THE FOOD
The
cheese fritters we ordered were bland for my taste if not for the tomato sauce. To be honest, I kinda regretted ordering.
I only came for ravioli anyway. Ravioli, for me, is like a Christmas gift that you wished from Santa. You kinda know what will be in there but it still surprises you. Speaking of, I liked their mushroom mozzarella
ravioli though it's a bit spicy (I'm not a fan of spicy food). I love tomatoes on anything so having them on my pasta is literally a gift. Though there was something weird or off about the taste of stuffing, maybe I was just not used to that kind of mushroom. I loved the three-cheese more.

THE PRICE
Typical
fancy resto price. Great as a reward for yourself during paydays.
OVERALL
I’ll go back
to treat my family. And also to taste all of their flavors of ravioli.
