Discount coupons are saviors during dates that are scheduled far from payday. I had great use of one of these during my get-together lunch date with my friend, Angela. I'm having a break from Jollibee so I wanted something different. Thank God I brought with me my SM coupons that came with my advantage card.
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post but hello SM, I'm just here, or maybe I should just buy stocks.
Anyway, included in my coupons is a buy-one-take-one discount for main entrees on Burgoo. Never heard of it before but it sounded expensive. Pang-burgis. So like smart adults (ah wow!) we checked on the prices first before entering.

THE PLACE (5/5)
The restaurant was wide and well-lit (or maybe because of the sunlight) so although it's full, it didn't feel suffocating. I loved the decors in the walls even though I didn't understand the concept/theme of it (travel-ish or bar-ish kind of vibe. I don't know).PS: I googled burgoo and it's a spicy stew (with meat) from USA. Just a little "Facts You Don't Need".

I was intrigued by their table mat which was a white paper. Then I noticed the crayons and realized it's for art-making (hehe obviously) while you wait for food. Behold my amazing tree drawing. Oooh Picasso is shookt!

THE FOOD (4/5)
Angela ordered regular seafood linguini, and shrimp arrabiatta for me. I wasn't aware that my order was spicy (even though chili vodka sauce was included in the description).
The seafood linguini was good! I loved the combination of tomato sauce with the seafood (Yes, I also eat my friend's meal, it's my requirement for friendship). The shrimp arrabiatta was too oily for me. Nakakaumay especially since both dishes are in big serving. I still tried to finish it though despite my low tolerance in spicy food because burgis food should not be wasted but my allergy was striking. Yes, I am allergic to seafood. Yey!

THE SERVICE (3.5/5)
Even though they gave me the wrong order at first, I commend the composure of the server (or I guess she's the manager). But the others seemed confused or tensed during service. And getting the bill and change took too long.
THE PRICE (5/5)
Aside from the fact that we only pay 1 meal for our 2 orders, I think the price is reasonable for their serving size. One main entree can be shared by 2 persons (unless one of them is me).See more prices here...
