Pound by Todd English: Dinner Date with My Girlfriends

Having too many choices is more of a disadvantage because it will take you a long time to decide and even then you will still think "What if I chose that one?" This has been my problem when I go to Mall of Asia: so much restaurant choices, so little money.
When I went there with my girlfriends Macy and Paula, this grandiose (am I using the right term? you'll never know) restaurant caught our attention so we immediately decided to try. Also because Paula recently dine in Todd English which she enjoyed. The menu placed outside was specific but not intimidating and there were just a few choices so we didn't have a hard time deciding. Just kidding it still took us a decade to decide.

THE PLACE (4/5)

Pound by Todd English is located at South Wing of the main mall, 1st floor near the entrance, Kultura, and Lugang cafe. Yes, I needed to Google that since we also almost got lost there. Well I always get lost in MOA; that place is huge it should have it's own map.
Anyway, it looked big from outside because of the mirrors inside causing optical illusion. But inside it was a smaller space so we had to be queued before sitting. The place was cozy and, though small, doesn't feel compact.

THE FOOD (3.5/5)

We ordered full size caramelized bacon alfredo, Parmesan fries, T.E. burger, and Pound for Pound (1 TE slider and 1 crispy chicken slider).
The fries was hot and crispy though not very Parmesan-y for my taste.

Their caramelized bacon alfredo was delicious though a little oily and I expected more serving since  it was full size. Though the order-taker told us not to expect much with the serving. She was right. I could finish it whole by myself. I figured that I am not a fan of caramelized bacon on pastas.

TE burger, I guess, stands for Todd English and it's composed of a house ground patty, tomato, iceberg lettuce, crispy onion, mustard relish and TE sauce. TE crispy chicken burger has TE sweet spice, crispy pickled slaw, and cilantro aioli.
The burgers were delicious but also had disappointing serving size. For the first time I didn't feel full after eating pasta and burger (or maybe my eating capacity is upgrading). You get that feeling when you're super enjoying it then you realized nothing was left before you felt satisfied? That was just sad. By the way I loved more the TE burger over the crispy chicken but look  at those colorful slaw!

THE SERVICE (5/5)

They were very accommodating (my default judgement) and really concerned for our convenience. They served the food faster than they serve the bill.

THE PRICE (3.5/5)

Php 195- TE burger
Php 195- Pound for Pound
Php 250- Caramelized bacon alfredo (full)
Php 100- Parmesan fries

I guess it was still okay for the price. I expected it to be more expensive because of the ambiance but I was really unfulfilled (BITIN!). BTW, whoever thought of that placemat paper is a genius. No more hassle of asking for menu coz it's already there.
